Prepare the liqueur limoncello

Learn to prepare the limoncello , or lemon liquor , a sweet liqueur obtained by maceration in alcohol, the peel of the lemon , later mixed with a syrup of sugar and water.

Ingredients:

  • 10 lemons,
  • 800 gr. of sugar,
  • 1 liter of alcohol pure,
  • 1 liter of water

Preparation.

Obtain the zest from the lemons, being careful to remove only the yellow part of peel (the white part is bitter).

Place in a large glass jar skins and alcohol for 3/4 days.

Heat the water until it begins to boil. Dissolve sugar in water without boiling, allow to cool.

Remove the peel of lemon infusion so in ' alcohol and add the sugar syrup and cold water.

Mix, filter and bottle. Allow to ripen for at least 10 days iquore.

Serve cold.
